We decided to organize this contest in the beginning of the year. We tried to share the announcement and we were happy to see more than 100 underwater photographers from 30 countries sent us great photos. Thank you! There were exciting images in every categories so we felt it wouldn't be an easy decision to choose the best ones.

We are really grateful to the jury members: Selmeczi Dániel, Danijel Frka and Steven Kovacs worked hard until they decided the final rankings in the Open Macro, Open Wide Angle and Compact categories. The public voting was quite exciting too, there were only a few point differences between the photos. Thanks to all who participated in the voting!

After checking the original image files we finalized the rankings. There are photographers from 5 countries in the 4 categories' Top 3, so our contest became really international. We would like to congratulate to all winners but certainly we are grateful to all other entrants who submitted their works to the Subsurface 2013.
