Divingiscool.com was founded in 2012. But the original website was the Hungarian language divecenter.hu which was founded in 2004. Our goal was to create an exciting online magazine featuring dive travel and lifestyle. Since then it became the most visited Hungarian scuba diving website with extensive news section, photo galleries, dive center and dive site directories and a highly popular forum.

We started to organize our successful monthly photo contest in 2007. In the last 3 years we organized shoot-out photo contests in Croatia and the Egyptian Red Sea. We´re trying to raise public environmental awareness, focusing on coral health issues, shark finning, overfishing, pollution etc.

We regularly publish reports about dive trips. Our contributors traveled many countries around the world and shared their experiences, advices and photos. Some dive centers or liveaboard operators invited us to visit them from countries like Indonesia, Egypt, Sudan, Croatia or Greece to help us give extensive reports of their activities and services. These reviews and features with up to date information helped traveling divers a lot. We regularly test dive equipments to help both the beginner and experienced divers´ decisions.

From 2012 the monthly photo snapshot contests enter the next level: the debut on an international scale. We provided the Subsurface contest´s rules and guidelines in English and encourage foreign photographers to participate. In the last few months we translated more and more sections, so finally we published our new, English speaking DC, the divingiscool.com. Our objective is to share our passion for diving with all of our visitors. So we regularly publish articles about travel, photography, wreck diving, etc. Feel free to write us your ideas and opinions about our website. Thank you for the visit!
