Oceanic Blacktip - Aliwal Shoal, South Africa

An Oceanic Blacktip Shark photographed in South Africa, near Aliwal Shoal. I spent a week here last year perfecting the technique to photograph these not-so pelagic species. Sadly, fishing is permitted in the area and it was very disappointing to see that almost every second shark had some sort of jaw deformation caused by local fishing hooks.
